SE: Wow, your work is incredible, how does it feel to have your first solo show?
Ryan: Mind blowing! I've always wanted to do something like this; it's just been a matter of producing enough work to do it.
SE: How long does it take you to finish a piece?
Ryan: Depends on the intensity, usually a night, for the bigger more involved pieces a few days to a week. Having something to work for like the art show makes you work faster in order to prepare.
SE: What is your best environment to work in?
Ryan: Usually in my home studio, but it depends on the piece live art is neat because you use your surroundings to inspire you, but at home I sometimes listen to music or a movie, sometime it's nice to work in silence because your head can be playing your own soundtrack.
SE: Can you tell me something about your paintings? What inspires you to paint a particular subject matter such as the faces?
Ryan: I'm usually a very detail oriented guy, a perfectionist really and I try to get as much in there as I can. The series with the faces is a simple subject matter where I tried to get away from that and just follow one line. I chose faces because I've always been interested in crowds, when I was little I was fascinated with the faces rushing at you at the mall or a theme park. I was at an art show once and just looking around me at all the people and their quick expressions gave me the inspiration for the faces.
SE: What artists have influenced you most and how?
Ryan: My friends that are artists, just being around them and their art inspires me, but some well known artists would have to be, Phil Hail, Glen Barn, Joe Socon, I really look up to them for the way they can manipulate color and see the world in a different otherwise boring way.

Ryan: Just do it! Everyday let it take over and create emotions, a friend once said to me "no matter how shitty life is, your art will always wrap its arms around you" so let it, and most of all just have fun and do what you want to do!
SE: What would you like to accomplish in the art world in the next few years?
Ryan: A career, freelance or otherwise, I need to be part of a creative environment where people don't take life to seriously because I can and I get sucked up into that seriousness.
SE: Ryan Thank you so much and keep up the remarkable work!
Ryan: Thank you Sneakeasies!!!!!!!!!! SE

Mishka NYC dreams of chainsaw wielding teddy bears and robotic horror imagery, this is exactly what they have created in and around them. Some say the label was the product of a heavy metal Satanic ritual gone horribly right. Their latest line is based on the works of famous Brooklyn based custom tattoo artist, JK5 who has worked with names across the board from Tylenol to Toy Tokyo. They are so incredibly diverse and you can tell from the helter-skeltered mixtapes that end up in their online Doombox that they are true heads for all that is beyond the mainstream.

Power with Control: the DBS represents the synthesis of raw power, race-bred technology and design excellence. Driven by a V12 engine producing 380 kW this vehicle burns some major rubber. Beneath the flowing lines of the lightweight bodywork, the DBS’s components have been honed to create an exhilarating driving experience: taut, dynamic and monumentally fast, but always highly controlled. Another master of design!!! Damn, Aston Martin your perfect!!

Puma and Santa Cruz had something in common in 1987, what was it? No.........it was the debut of the "Screaming Hand" and the First Round Hi. Together they have made a catchy new age colab. This sneaker release will include a matching t-shirt. Skate away to paradise!

If you’re into Heavy Acoustic Rock, then omission just might be your new favorite band. With creative riffs, memorable lyrics, and their collaboration with hip hop rapper Prophet bring a new sound to the table, Omission is ready to hit the charts. After playing a phenomenal show at the House of Blues 4.24.08, I had the opportunity to sit down with a few members and learn a little about the band; Forrest Fulmer (lead singer-guitarist) ,Will Carpenter (guitarist), Eric(Bass) and Tony(Drums).
SE: How did you pick the name Omission? Any meaning behind it?
Will: An old drummer came up with it, but the name has kinda been an inside joke because omission means to leave something out, but our music doesn’t leave any styles out.
SE: How did the band get started and how long have you been together?
Forrest: Together for a year and eight months, we are all just friends and I used to work with Tony our drummer.
SE: How long have you been playing your instruments and why did you choose them?
Forrest: I’ve been playing guitar for 13 years, I choose it because my mom played guitar and I was always around it.
Will: I’ve been playing guitar for 16 years, I first chose the bass, but after I started listening to Nirvana I realized that Curt Cobain made simple shit sound good, so I figured I could too and I started playing guitar.
SE: Where do you see Omission in 5 years?
Forrest: At least top 40 in the charts, touring...possibly a Euro tour, or maybe doing some soundtracks for film.
Will: Forrest brings the skeleton of the song and the rest of us fill in.
Forrest: I write the music first then the lyrics, I write about life experiences shit that’s happened, the unknown……
SE: If you guys could play with any artist/band alive or dead past or present, who would it be?
Forrest: Muse, Audioslave, U2, Tool
Will: Dream theater, Stevie Ray Von…the list goes on…
Will: Its more like personal disasters, there is always that show where you kick yourself afterwards but it’s never been bad enough where someone is kicking you.

SE: Personally, we thought the show was incredible!! Thank you So much for taking time out after your set to talk with us!
Forrest: No problem, anything for Sneakeasies! SE
